Brown leather, combination type gauntlet with mitten extension for the fingers. The interior lined in woollen fabric. The whole of the outer, back part of the hand including the thumb covered in fur. The mitten pouch also lined in fur. Right hand.

High waisted Barathea trousers with side pockets opening vertically down the side seems and an inset flap and button pocket in the rear. Waistband with buttons for braces and a button fly. Slight moth damage.

2 Blade, 70hp Renault

Two-blade varnished wooden propeller with six-hole hub and no leading edge protectors. Two of the hub nut holes have been cut into. an additional angle has been drilled into the side of the hub at a downwards angle.

USAF, HGU-33P

HGU-33 Glass fibre helmet shell fitted with a single visor assembly (knob missing) and receivers for US J-type oxygen mask bayonets. Visor cover painted with a tiger's head motif and the rest of the helmet is painted with tiger stripes.

Pigeon, A Very Gallant Gentleman

Wood and glass case containing the stuffed body of a grey and brown RNAS carrier pigeon, ringed on the left leg and mounted standing on a naturalistic base. Brass plate on base of case inscribed "A Very Gallant Gentleman".

Rolls-Royce R Engine

1,900/2,350 hp twelve cylinder liquid cooled V-type racing engine on display stand. Front half of gear housing is actualy a wooden replica replacement. Inspection November 2017 noted some chipping and separation/visible jointing of this section.

Strut, Interplane, 41 Squadron 1917

One half of (probable) D.H.5 strut with end fitting. Inscribed both sides with some 54 signatures of squadron personnel c. November 1917, later marked with K (Kiilled) or M (missing)or S (?survived). Rather roughly cut/broken at top end.

Khaki woollen dog coat fastening with two small gilt RFC buttons across chest and a buttoned strap under belly. The shoulders of the coat bear straps with small gilt Captain's pips and the front sides a Pilot's badge and an Observer's badge.

"Fums Up" Nameboard

Rectangular piece of plywood with aircraft name painted on it in shaded capitals. In poor condition with damaged corners and suffering from distortion. Now framed with other 'Fums Up!' wooden nameboard and 'child' artwork in large glass-fronted wooden frame.

Military Cross

Silver cross with splayed ends bearing a crown at each end. The centre of the cross overlaid with a facetted cross with a central monogram GR. Plain single link suspender from a plain bar. Ribbon - white, purple, white equal stripes.
