Large flat aluminium disc mounting two 360 degree rotatable plastic discs. The lower one is divided into graph paper type grid squares, and is turned by a brass grip to one side; the upper one is mainly clear with a single black outlined circle and graduations in red round the outside edge, turned by clear grip marked Course. A large clear pointer is mounted between these two discs, with a smaller one pivoted to one side above them. Ribbed circular brass grip mounted at rear.
