Heavy square wooden carrying case for camera lens. Soft lined; Hinged lid with leather carrying handle and two locking clasps at the front. Compartment for spare filter in one corner, containing one red filter, with yellow filter loose inside. Reinforced corners.

Seamless steel tubing with pointed nose threaded to receive a nose fuse. Internally a buster well tube runs the length of the body, fitting into a positioning cup at the rear. Three external suspension lugs; two on one side and one 180° the other side. Painted overall grey with two green bands towards nose.

Circular white card printed around the edge on both sides, one with a bearing compass, the other 18-800 DISTANCE-GALLONS. A red, white and blue rotating inner circular scale with cut sections either side marked TRUE COURSE one side PRESSURE ALTITUDE, AIR SPEED CORRECTION the other. Complete with original packaging.

Wooden bar with three long plastic covered faces on the top, of which the centre one can be slid, and one on the bottom. Comes in two part cardboard case labelled 'Lt. Oliver' and also contains a wooden pencil. Originally owned by Stanley Oliver, Hunting Chief Test Pilot.
