Curved, grey painted rectangular six-plank section of original Supermarine Southampton hull cut out from starboard nose during conversion to houseboat c.1929 and modified as the sliding door to the boat. Only the middle part of the section retained; Complete with centrally mounted letter flap, with grab handle and padlock eye to the right.Painted cream on inside, with original stringers surviving. Original varnished mahogany visible below the paint.Fitted with metal edging strips.

Within a border lettered UNITED KINGDOM SPACE OPERATIONS CENTRE, a globe in light blue and dark blue in which the UK is picked out in red, with red and white stripes going across the globe to produce a representation of the Union flag. Two yellow stars are placed in each quadrant around the circumference.
