Steel blade with full length fullers and a hooked quillion with 23mm Ø ring. Two piece wooden grip scales fixed by two screw bolts. "Birds head" shaped pommel with channel and spring loaded button. Blade has broken and missing almost half its length. See history.

Single forward firing machine gun positioned on top of the forward fuselage of the Sopwith 1½ Strutter aircraft to fire through the propeller arc; operated by the pilot. Fitted with cooling jacket and padded windscreen mount at breech end. Cocking lever on right hand side.
