Unlacquered, almost symmetrical, pear-shaped white alloy frames holding tinted Triplex windows. Spring loaded surrounds covered with fine khaki silk and edged with brown chenille fitted with leather tabs connected to a black elastic adjustable head band. CONDITION - head band slack.

Of heavily domed shape and of layered construction, the components rivetted or soldered together. On a vertical, oval wreath of laurel (right) and oak leaves (left) conjoined at base with a bow and surmounted by a small Imperial crown, an Imperial Russian two-headed eagle in the upper part overlaid in the lower part with a winged marine anchor. Threaded post at rear with a circular silver 'nut'.
