Circular bronze badge with wings extending beyond the edge of the diameter. The centre voided with a vertical propeller connected to a rotary engine and a pair of horizontal wings. This element mounted onto the outer ring. Around the dark blue enamelled edge AIRCRAFT above and WORKER below. Brooch pin fastener on reverse.

On a patch of khaki woollen fabric cut to shape, three chevrons made up of khaki lace woven with small pale khaki chevrons running down the centre, points downwards.

Above a scroll bearing NOTTS & DERBY, a maltese cross the points having ball ends, the centre pierced and surrounded by an oak wreath enclosing a resting stag. Across the centre of the cross two scrolls bearing SHERWOOD FORESTERS and below the wreath a scroll bearing NOTTS & DERBY. In the cleft of the upper branch of the cross a small King's crown. Left collar - stag facing to viewer's left. Two fixing lugs on reverse with pin.
