Plastron-fronted tunic with stand and fall collar fastening with seven pairs of white metal buttons bearing the lion of Bavaria. Cuffs, round with two buttons. Centre rear vent flanked by false pockets with buttons. Collar, cuffs, lapel, hem and false pockets piped in off-white. Two usable flapped buttoned pockets in front skirts at a slight angle. The shoulders fitted with silver wire boards - separately accessioned. The left front side sewn with a pair of vertical bridles to take a flying badge.

Short, brown leather coat, the front of double flap construction buttoning with six buttons concealed in a fly on the right side. The collar cut deep at the back and lower at the front with a cross-over flap and two buttons to enable it to be fastened as a standing collar round the neck. Single large flapped pocket below waist on left side fastening with press studs. Large, diagonal map pocket without flap on chest with opening on right. Sleeves ending in wrist bands with press stud closure. Two attachment loops at rear to take a broad leather waist belt, but no belt present. Lined throughout, including collar, in camel coloured woollen fabric. Small internal breast pocket. The inside of the skirts fitted with leather straps with press studs to secure round the legs in inclement weather. Condition - the leather supple. In need of cleaning and feeding but otherwise sound. Displayable.
