Small silver plate tacked to face with "The Boss of the Propeller of the Aeroplane piloted by Lieut. W.J.Tempest. D.S.O., R.F.C. when he destroyed Zeppelin L.31 ...October 1st 1916..."

Section of "spruce" inter plane strut faintly marked in ink with "Part of Justine Herrings aeroplane wrecked jan 1916" hung by brass strips on a hard-wood shield. Small brass plaque on shield engraved; "Part of a STRUT of Be.2c. No.4087. on which J.H.HERRING was brought down near BECOURT. FRANCE Jan 14th 1916. The Machine was wrecked and burnt by Gunfire".
