Brown leather cap type helmet lined in the crown in chamois and below the eye line in fur which extends across the brow and covers the turned-up peak. Narrow chin strap on right with broad, fur lined centre piece under chin engages with a leather-covered buckle on left. Small rectangular ear flaps sewn down at front and back, covering a pattern of six small holes pierced in the helmet sides. Short, vertical goggles retaining straps at sides, the lower end secured by a press stud. On either side towards the rear of the skirt a leather-covered pin buckle set at an angle for a fur lined chin mask. All buckles have transverse leather tabs sewn behind them to retain the free end of the strap which buckles to them. Manufacturer's label identifies the cap as "André 's Superfine". Condition - externally very good but fur starting to moult and very unstable.

Rectangular wood and bakelite sealed box with hinged side compartment having morse key and spark gap. A copper spiral inductor with four scales is mounted on the face with earth, spark gap adjuster, and aerial clip terminals and two moveable wire connections. A second aerial terminal with window on top allows viewing of the spark gap.

Brown leather cap type helmet lined in the crown in chamois and below the eye line in brown sheepskin - fleece mostly absent. Small turned up peak of a pale sheepskin or fur bearing a red and green silk cockade (?). Holes pierced over the ears but covered over inside and out with leather patches. Narrow leather chin strap with a broad central piece which engages with a pin buckle on left. No wind deflectors. Condition - very poor, stiff, the leather very dirty, the lining filthy and falling apart. Not displayable.
