Butcher type sword blade, widening towards the end with full length fullers. Two piece wooden grip with nine grooves and fixed with two screw bolts. Without muzzle ring but fitted with steel flash guard strip along back of grip. Spring locking catch on "birds head" shaped pommel. Steel scabbard with ball end and oval frog stud and fitted with black leather frog.
