Circular bronze medallion. Obverse - in relief a balloon, air ship and aircraft racing above the City of London. Reverse - bordered by a trouser belt design the words AERO CLUB OF THE UNITED KINGDOM. Centrally engraved with INTERNATIONAL BALLOON CONTEST F.A.I LONDON May 30. 1908. Sir CLAUDE CHAMPION de CRESPIGNEY.

Very large and ornate two-piece double-handled trophy. Main body has engraved shields front and back,the front one with the main presentation details, the rear one with a representation of a Boxkite type aircraft. Base with shields front and back, one engraved The Daily Mail Trophy, the other with the Claude Grahame White cipher. See historical notes.

Cup, First One Mile Circular Flight, 1909

Silver cup and cover. Engravings upon hexagonal body of cup include the text 'The Daily Mail'. A biplane is also engraved upon one of its sides. Attached closely to the rim of the cup is a handle on either side, semi-circular in shape with patterned mouldings on their outer edge. Base is hexagonally starred in shape. Lid is hexagonal in shape with flutes rising up to its point topped by a moulded silver ornament. Stands on circular wooden base.
