Standard small pocket-type stopwatch with suspension loop at top. Large seconds hand and smaller bottom 60 second dial and hand at base of main dial. Inscriptions scratched inside outer and inner casings. Face re-painted between figure 10 and 11.

Percussion hand grenade. Standard Infantry weapon. Cylindrical brass body (which contained the explosive) with segmented cast iron ring half way along (intended for fragmentation), turned wooden handle and long webbing 'streamers' attached to handle by cordage whipping, their purpose being to stabilise the grenade in flight (best ensured by a 'bowling' action), ensuring that it landed on its head, which was necessary to activate the impact fuse. Safety pin with cord fitted at base of brass body. Fuze missing-hole filled with small cork.
