Single-breasted, khaki cord jacket with roll-step collar and lapels, four flap and button pockets, the breast pockets pleated, the skirt pockets of bellows type. The waist fitted with brass hooks for wear with a Sam Browne. Small pocket let into the waist. Bronze regimental badges on the collar (one missing). Centre rear vent. Shoulder straps fitted with a single pip of a 2nd Lieutenant. All buttons are of Regimental type. Green diamond patches on upper arms.

Single-breasted, five button jacket with stand and fall collar fastening with hooks. Shoulder straps, reinforcing panels on front of shoulders, pleated flap and button breast pockets, flap and button skirt pockets. Two brass supporting hooks at waist for webbing belt, two short vents at rear. Buttons General Service pattern.

Circular brass container made from the bases of two 4.5in howitzer shell cases, the more cut-down of the two serving as the tightly-fitting lid to the other which acts as the main body. Engraved with facsimile signatures of members of 'C' Flight, 16 Squadron RFC personnel, August 1917.
