Hand made model of German 'Taube' type monoplane with fuselage made from "Gw88?" 8 x 57mm rifle cartridge with rotating propeller fitted in base. Wing tips drilled for wires (missing), and prominent 'Pylon' on forward fuselage. Distinctive wing and tailplane shape well shown.

Bow shaped piece of bare wood fitted with cast aluminium foot treads marked, "AVRO" at either end, with a brass strip along its length one side. A (7mm) centre hole lined with ferule surrounded by a small plate with two other small rubbing plates on the opposite sides. Bolts missing from treads with clear varnish previously applied overall.
