Unofficial No. 23 Squadron Badge

This illustration of an eagle preying on a falcon is No. 23 Squadron's crest, and the Latin motto 'Semper aggressus' means 'Always having attacked'.

This is probably fabric from the tail of a damaged aircraft. Squadrons devised symbols for their aircraft and many of these later formed the basis for a squadron's official crest.
