Window Bundle

The modern day equivalent is known by the American code name Chaff.

Window is the code name for a radio countermeasure made from strips of aluminium foil. The bundle was ripped open using the string attached and thrown out of the aircraft. The cloud of foil created a false return on enemy radar screens.
