Pilot's flying log book of Wg Cdr Norman Howard Bottomley, August 1921-December 1936
Flying log book of Norman Bottomley during the interwar period, including as Commanding Officer No. 4 Squadron, 1928-1930.
Bottomley had served as a flying instructor during the First World War and remained in the RAF during the inter-war period, rising to senior rank in the Second World War. He was appointed Air Officer Commanding Bomber Command in September 1945. After retiring from the RAF he joined the BBC where he was Director of Administration until 1956.
