A pamphlet issued in South Africa by the Union Bureau of Information, reprint of a pamphlet issued by the British Ministry of Information on behalf of the Air Ministry, in 1941.

The Battle of Britain: An Air Ministry record of the great days from 8 August – 31 October 1940 by Hilary Aidan St George Saunders sold 300,000 copies within a week of release in the United Kingdom. Due to its popularity in April 1941 a larger format illustrated edition costing 6d was issued as the first in the Ministry of Information’s ‘Official War Books’. This South African reprint includes an additional chapter describing events from November 1940 and has a list of the pilots pictured on the title page.
