Storm Shadow is a Franco-British long-range stand-off missile developed in the late 1990s, designed for use against fixed targets such as command buildings, ports and hardened aircraft shelters. Target information is fed to the missile prior to launch, it then flies at low-level, using a triple navigation system to its target. It entered RAF service in 2001 and saw its first operational use in the second Gulf War, 2003.
