Hawker Hart Mk. II
This Hawker Hart was built as a company demonstrator, test bed and camera platform, a favoured mount of photographers such as Charles Brown and Cyril Peckham.
When the Hawker Hart entered service as a bomber in 1930, it was found to be faster than contemporary RAF fighters. This forced the RAF to update and replace many existing aircraft. The Hart became the first of a family of aircraft, fulfilling many roles at home and overseas, including fighter and Army Co-operation. Versions also served with the Fleet Air Arm, flying from ships of the Royal Navy.
