Womens Royal Air Force, Members, Shoulder Eagle Badge, 1918 Pattern
Members in the Womans Royal Air Force, wore shoulder badges on their uniform jackets depicting an eagle with outstretched wings embroidered in white on a backing of black Melton.
Worn with both the Khaki and Pale Blue, members uniforms, shoulder badges were issued in handed pairs so the eagle would always look to the rear. Subordinate Officers wore a larger arm badges depicting the eagle with laurel sprigs for Section Leaders and a crowned version for Chief Section Leaders.
