De Havilland Mosquito TT.35
Combining speed, long range and the ability to operate at high altitudes, the De Havilland Mosquito was one of the truly outstanding aircraft to emerge during the Second World War. The TT.35 is a target tug variant.
During the Second World War the Mosquito excelled in the photo reconnaissance, bomber, night fighter and fighter-bomber roles. This TT.35 was originally constructed as B.35 by de Havilland's at Hatfield. It was part of contract No.555 for 80 Mosquito B.35 aircraft which were delivered between March and July 1945. This aircraft was sent to No. 27 Maintenance Unit, Shawbury, Salop for storage in 1945. In 1952, it was taken out of store and was converted to Target Tug standard.
