Recording in which Pilot Officer Dunn gives an account of daylight Spitfire sorties over northern France and an early night fighter sortie during which he destroyed two German bombers.
Pilot Officer Dunn describes several daylight engagements between the Spitfires of his squadron and German aircraft, including Dornier 17s, Messerschmitt 109s and Messerschmitt 110s over the north west coast of France. He then gives an account of a flight made in a Spitfire during the early stages of the German night bombing offensive against the United Kingdom, in the course of which he shot down two German bombers.
