Unveiling of the Battle of Britain memorial at Westminster Abbey by His Majesty King George VI on 10 July 1947, the seventh anniversary of the first day of the battle

Booklet explaining that the Chapel dedicated to the Royal Air Force is one of five apsidal chapels at the eastern end of the Abbey’s Henry VII Lady Chapel. The main part of the Memorial is a stained and painted glass window designed and made by Hugh Easton.
