Incidents recalled by Pilot Officer Williams include an attack on a bridge over the River Seine, an attack by a Messerschmitt 110 near Cologne, an attack on a German cruiser during which he sustained a head injury, a raid on Milan and an occasion on which he and his crew baled out over England on returning from a raid on Berlin.
