Recording in which Sergeant Jackson gives an account of a low-level daylight raid on Bremen, including damage and injuries sustained through anti-aircraft fire.
Sergeant Jackson describes take off, flight across the North Sea and low-level flight across Germany. He describes the attack itself, comments on the material and psychological effects on Germany and tells the story of the return journey. During the raid his aeroplane sustained damage from anti-aircraft fire, the rear gunner was wounded and, due to hydraulic failure, he was forced to belly-land on return to his home airfield.
