Pilot Officer Ensor and Flight Sergeant Paige, the pilot and navigator of a Hudson, describe a sortie during which they attacked a merchant ship off the Dutch coast and struck an unidentified object, possibly a rock. Despite damage to the aeroplane they were able to return to England and make a forced landing.
