35 Wing, 1944
This report covers work of 35 Wing during the battle in and around the Falaise pocket in July and August 1944.
35 Wing was one of three RAF photographic reconnaissance wings of 2 Tactical Air Force. Prior to D-Day they conducted photographic reconnaissance of the landing area taking photographs of beach defences and locations. of enemy units. After D-Day, the wing conducted tactical reconnaissance across the battlefield, generally within 150 miles of the front line.
