Brief interviews with Stirling air and ground crews, 24 May 1943
Recording in which radio presenters meet air and ground crews of a Stirling squadron before and after a raid, asking briefly about aspects of their work.
An interviewer speaks to aircrew before a raid, asking each where they are from, their crew position and if they are looking forward to it. A different interviewer speaks to aircrew after their return, including comments on searchlights, flak and fighters. A station commander comments on seeing bombers taking off, and on the scale of that night’s operation, and several groundcrew talk about their roles in maintaining the aircraft.
