Daylight raid on Berlin
Recording in which a bomber crewman describes a daylight raid on Berlin, with little opposition from ground fire or fighters.
An airman describes the flight over Germany in heavy rain, arrival over Berlin, the lack of flak and the dropping of bombs. He describes some light and ineffective anti-aircraft fire, compares expectations to the reality of the raid and compares it to a recent attack on Copenhagen. He declares his satisfaction in bombing Berlin in daylight for the first time.
