Squadron Leader Fowler - raid on Berlin

Recording in which Squadron Leader Fowler describes the scene over Berlin during a night raid as the city burned but with little anti-aircraft fire and no night fighters present.

Squadron Leader Fowler describes his arrival over Berlin and the concentration of flames in the centre of the city. He describes searchlights as seen from a distance and at close range, comments on the lack of anti-aircraft fire and fighters and describes the scene of the city below, including flames and flares. He recalls how the searchlights went out, and how the flames were visible from a considerable distance.
