Flight Lieutenant Storey - RAF fighters over the Channel

Recording in which Flight Lieutenant Storey describes an engagement between the Hurricanes of his squadron and a formation of Junkers 87s over Dover.

Flight Lieutenant Storey states that he feels lucky to have been in combat on his first day with a new squadron; he then recalls how his Hurricane squadron was scrambled to intercept Junkers 87s attacking shipping in Dover harbour. He describes the engagement in some detail, states that the escorting Messerschmitt 109s were engaged by Spitfires and concludes his account by reflecting on the encounter and his feelings on it.
