Film in which a Sunderland flying boat is moved in sections by road across London to the RAF Museum at Hendon, and reassembled by RAF personnel of 71 Maintenance Unit.
RAF personnel of 71 Maintenance Unit remove the wings from a Sunderland flying boat at Samuel Williams Thames Terminal, and the Sunderland’s fuselage is seen on its side during transport by road to the RAF Museum at Hendon. The Sunderland’s tail section is seen arriving separately. At the RAF Museum the Sunderland is mounted on beaching gear outside the Grahame White Factory and the wings lifted into place by crane.
