249 Squadron Mustang Mk. IIIs

Film in which RAF ground crews are seen carrying out maintenance work on Mustang IIIs of 249 Squadron on an airfield. The Mustangs are then seen taxiing and taking off.

Various views show groundcrew working on the engines, guns and cockpits of Mustang fighter aircraft. A bomb is seen fitted under a Mustang’s wing, a piece of machinery is placed near a Mustang, men walk to a van and bombs are rolled out of the back of a parked truck. Ground crew secure Mustangs to the ground with rope, a Mustang is hosed down and Mustangs take off and land.
