Prayer book for Jewish members of H.M. Forces

This prayer book was distributed to Jewish Armed Forces personnel.

Small enough to carry inside a pocket, prayer books were a constant source of comfort and guidance. This copy belonged to Bernard Kregor, who served on ground crew in Bomber Command. He applied for aircrew duties in 1944 and was accepted as a navigator, though not called upon to serve. The persecution of Jewish people in mainland Europe was a compelling motivation for him to enlist.
