Brass Button Stick
Cosford, Hangar Two Aircraft & Exhibits
Brass buttons were fitted to RAF uniforms into the 1960s. They required daily polishing to maintain the standard of appearance required of RAF recruits.
This stick could be slid behind the button to keep polish off the fabric of the uniform, and was part of the kit issued to every new RAF recruit.
