Target information folder prepared by the Air Ministry Target Section of Stettin (now Szczecin) giving details of the Pommerensdorf thermal electric power station.
Stettin was repeatedly targeted by Bomber Command and the 8th Air Force USAAF. The initial bombing occurred on the night of 4/5 September 1940, when 86 aircraft struck various targets in France and Germany. The first significant raid occurred on 19/20 September 1941, when 72 aircraft bombed the town. Heavy air attacks and fierce fighting between German and Soviet forces towards the war's end led to widespread destruction of much of the town
