Target folder, operation number GO. 1270, Molbis, 1942-1944

Target information folder prepared by the Air Ministry Target Section giving details of the power station, coal drying and tar treatments works at Molbis.

Molbis was attacked by 175 Avro Lancasters and 11 DE Havilland Mosquitos on the night of the 7-8 April 1945. The target was clear of cloud and the bombing was on target destroying the benzol plant which ceased production. No aircraft were lost.
