Target information folder prepared by the Air Ministry Target Section giving details of railway workshops and industrial targets in Hannover.
Hannover was a major industrial city and transport hub with important rail links. The city was targeted by Bomber Command and the United States Army Air Forces on nearly 90 occasions, which destroyed approximately 85% of its historic centre and killed many on the ground.
