Air Ministry Pamphlets were issued from 1925 through to the 1970s. They were used as a means of disseminating information, instructions and regulations related to aspects of the RAF’s operations, training and personnel. Their contents were wide and varied. Class AA refers to individuals who went straight into the reserves. This classification was created to distinguish these individuals from ex-regulars who were in the reserves, who came under class A.
