Trials film in which dummy and real Fleet Air Arm aircraft are catapult-launched from the aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious during catapult trials. These include Shark, Swordfish, Fulmar and Albacore aircraft.

Trials film in which dummy and real naval aeroplanes are catapult-launched from the aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious. Each launch is seen from side and rear perspectives and aircraft seen include dummy Blackburn Shark and Fairey Swordfish, followed by real Swordfish, Fairey Fulmar and Fairey Albacore aircraft, some of which are armed with bombs or a torpedo. Film taken from the side perspective shows the catapult connections releasing from the aeroplane.
