Menu card for the lunch held to mark the British Air Mission to Japan on the 21st November 1921.
The British Air Mission to Japan, also known as the Sempill Mission was a technical naval aviation mission that helped the Imperial Japanese Navy develop and improve the professionalism of, their naval air force. The mission lasted 18 months and contributed significantly to the improvement of Japanese air forces as well as their understanding of aviation technology. The menu card contains a signature from a member of the Imperial Aero Society of Japan including Japanese characters.
