Smoking Pass for Apprentices' Squadron RAF Cranwell
RAF Apprentices were boys aged between 15 and 17 who had signed up for a three year technical training programme.
Their training and lifestyle was highly structured and regulated. If permission had been granted by their parents or guardians for them to smoke, they were issued with an RAF Form 557 Permanent Pass like this one allowing them to smoke on RAF property.
