Armstrong Whitworth Ensign (G-ADSU) of BOAC at Whitchurch in about 1940.
The Armstrong Whitworth Ensign was the largest British airliner constructed before the Second World War. It was designed for Imperial Airways but only 14 were built, operated mainly by the British Overseas Airways Corporation from 1939 to 1946.
