Vickers Wellington T Mk X (MF628), starboard front under view in flight
Vickers Wellington MF628 was built as a bomber but converted for use as a trainer by Boulton Paul, Wolverhampton, in 1948.
By 1953 the aircraft had ceased being used as a trainer but retained its trainer markings. In 1954, however, it was used in the film 'The Dambusters' before being sold back to Vickers, who then gifted it to the Royal Aeronautical Society. The aircraft was one of the first displayed in the RAF Museum in London when it opened in 1972.
