The Aircrew Lightweight Protective Helmet Assembly (ALPHA) is made by Helmet Integrated Systems Ltd.
This version was adopted as the standard RAF flying helmet for fast jet use during the late 1980s. It never fully replaced the Mk 4 which was retained for the use of night vision equipment.
