RAF Supply
Film illustrating the process through which a new part is ordered for an unserviceable Puma helicopter. The operation of the RAF’s computer supply system, centred on RAF Hendon, is illustrated.
A Puma helicopter lands with a technical fault, and a new part is ordered through the RAF’s computer supply system, centred on RAF Hendon. Other types of stores are discussed, including clothing, barrack supplies, bulk fuel installations, electronics and a mobility store, containing equipment needed by units deploying into the field. Equipment is loaded into a Britannia aircraft and members of the supply branch are seen training at RAF Hereford.
