Supermarine Southampton Mk I (N9899) of No. 480 (CR) Flight was badly damaged during a gale at RAF Calshot on 23 November 1928
The engines of Supermarine Southampton N9899 were salvaged but the rest of the aircraft was written off. The hull became a houseboat until it was acquired by the RAF Museum and restored, going on display in 1995.
