Bomber Command operational film Nos. 110 and 111

Two films taken from aircraft of Bomber Command during Second World War bombing raids on Turin and Milan. Details on the personnel and aircraft concerned are given in title screens.

Film taken from a Short Stirling bomber aircraft of 15 Squadron, flown by Squadron Leader Megginson, shows a view of Turin at night during a bombing raid. The scene is intermittently lit by flares and explosions. Film shot from an Avro Lancaster bomber aircraft of 101 Squadron, flown by Flight Lieutenant McKay, shows a view of Milan at night, again lit by flares and explosions, briefly illuminating streets and buildings.
